Hi, I'm Lenora.

Curiosity led me from engineering to architecture, and nature continues to inspire the way I design. I'm drawn to public spaces that encourage connection, celebrate nature, and enrich everyday life. I believe thoughtful research is the foundation of meaningful design.

Bachelor of Engineering, Hydropower and Water Resources
South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, Chinaย
09/2017-05/2021

Innovation Research

Developed bio-based materials for green roof applications through laboratory research, receiving Second Prize in a national innovation competition.

Materials Science

Investigated superhydrophobic sponge materials and water filtration performance to better understand material behavior and environmental applications.

Participated in field investigations of hydropower dams and water infrastructure, examining engineering systems, construction methods, and the relationship between infrastructure and the surrounding landscape.

Infrastructure Fieldwork

Master of Architecture, ย Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology
Washington University in St. Louis, Saint Louis, MOย  ย  ย  ย

Teaching Assistant

Supported Architecture History and Structures courses through discussion, grading, and one-on-one tutoring. Working closely with students strengthened my communication skills and deepened my understanding of those courses.

Independent Research

Conducted field research in Mexico City,ย  documenting and analyzing recurring cultural patterns observed in everyday life and the built environment.

Participated in academic study programs in Spain and Morocco, exploring architecture, climate, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage through field observation and site visits.

The Next "Studio" I'm Looking For

Not just a place to work, but a place to keep growing.

Still Curious๏ผŸ

โœ“ Curiosity is valued over certainty.

โœ“ Research informs design.

โœ“ Feedback is honest and direct.

โœ“ Questions lead to conversations.

โœ“ Good ideas are given time.

โœ“ There's room for the occasional "Aha!" moment.

I'm at My Best When...

Nice to Have

โœ“ Kind people.

โœ“ Fun drinks in the fridge.

โœ“ Office cat.

What I Bring

โœ“ Curiosity.

โ€‹

โœ“ Thoughtful work.

โ€‹

โœ“ A dependable teammate.

โ€‹

โœ“ A willingness to keep learning.

โœ“ Probably another rabbit hole.
